You are a young man transported to another world. Where a Goddess of beauty mistakens you for a great warrior. With only your geeky skills as a fighter in medieval fairs you must build an adventures guild, gain worshipers for your new Goddess and survive in an ancient world filled with magic and strange creatures.

But under your leadership will Kira and her followers become a Goddess of beauty and love or a Demoness filled with lust and blood?

My personal goal: Years ago as a Game Master in pen and paper RPG’s I loved running grand open world campaigns where the players had a high level of freedom. While I’m constrained by the nature of video games and predetermined paths I want to bring some of that spirit to this world. So building on the fly with a goal in mind seems more natural to me than building it inside of a box.

WARNING The game is in Alpha.  My goal is to work on it a little bit everyday to continue pushing the story forward or write the code for custom built features.  This means you will see much of my own bad pencil art as well as my first ever digital art using an art tablet for the first time lol (The wilderness zone, which I'm currently working on fixing)

These pieces are used as place holder art and are intended to be used as concepts for the artists and players to see the direction of the world. I am sorry I am a writer, designer, programmer but I just cant seem to get art.

Itch Donations: 100% of any donation made during this time will go straight into the art of the game.

I am realizing in order for this project to take flight I need your help. Comments, suggestions, follows and reviews all help. Of course donations (in future patreon) will bring about visual changes much faster are all very appreciated.

Grammar: If you leave a comment for grammar I WILL fix it, be specific though, because I know theres mistakes but after a while many just get glazed over or lost in the choas.

I've learnt over the years, creative writing skills and editorial skills are as far from each other as math and english class. A person would think they are the same, but they are worlds apart.

Plus I some times make the mistake of rewriting/writing dialogue inside the IDE whilst writing code from the previous line. So something as simple as 'the > hte' might slip buy.

For now I'm wondering if people would prefer a discord or reddit page to provide such input. Leave this in the comments and I will begin taking the steps to get that working.

Approximate Playtime: Currently 10-15 mins.

Why Alpha? At this stage I’m working on getting the story figured out, coding basic features, and creating the atmosphere. Then artists can see what I as the game designer envisioned and are able to replace these pieces.

My hopes are that by releasing it early, players/fans can add their own input and help it develop along the way.

Why Renpy and not another engine? First I always enjoyed these types of games. Not just as a story but as a story I can influence and participate in like an RPG.

Rather than a top down classic 32 bit rpg I’m more influenced by pen and paper dice games. Instead of running from creature to creature swinging a sword. Dice will determine encounters, outcomes and special events. The focus is on how your character interacts with the world and its inhabitants.

Those interactions change the world and character dialogues.

The Future...

Features I am working on implimenting and designing to add to A Champions Harem.

  • Character progression through individual skills, use the skill gain exp in the skill.
  • Turn based days, giving actions points, lust points and special events centered on specific days.
  • Combat system using dice to determine outcomes, different results yield different outcomes.
  • Travel system, based on choosing a map then enjoying the areas content through random events or character interactions.
  • Build your harem, use their special abilities, skills and class types during combat or through special events.
  • Aid in the building of an adventures guild.
  • Dungeon or Surface environments. Encounter unique scenarios based on dice rolls. Player choices and dice rolls determine outcomes, rewards or consequences.
  • As development continues advance a story through your interactions with Kira the Goddess and many other interactable characters.
  • In the far future animated sex scenes. Unfortunatly this is not in the budget yet as each scene can potentially cost upwards of $500 for a 4 second loop.

Don't worry bad art adds the charm it art style reminds me the old Slave Lord it will get better so don't use AI.

I've felt better about some of my art since posting this and reading your comment.

What I found is, I can draw a background or scene the way I want it. With AI I have to keep hitting 'generate' over and over trying to get something usable like a slot machine. You could spend hours changing text and hitting generate just for one image.

On top of that the flaws when passing on to an artist can get rolled into it. Wrong camera angle, color, pose, or facial expression.

Yeah, describing AI art as a slot machine is a good comparison. The ai doesn't have any actual awareness of what it draws, it just mashes existing stuff together based on your prompt. So as you said from an artist's point of view there usually is a ton of faults with ai art. Therefore even short term it isn't a good solution.

And longterm it gets even worse since AI art is not consistent. You cannot reliable keep recreating the same character in different art pieces. So the longer a game depends on ai, the worse things tend to get.

Haven't gotten around to playing the game yet since I'm quite busy, but I put it on my follow list a few days ago and from what I've seen of the art here on the itch.io page, I gotta agree with the comment above. The art does have its charm, even though - or maybe specifically because - it is rough around the edges. You can see that you had a clear idea of what you are trying to draw and that the roughness around the edges comes from a simple lack of experience. It's a different kind of bad than ai, cuz a lack of experience can be fixed. The ai on the other hand has no idea what exactly it is doing and no mental image of the scene it is supposed to bring to life. You cannot fix that without recreating the ai from scratch and giving it actual intelligence and an understanding of art.

So tl;dr: Stay away from AI and keep working on your own art (or hire artists later on if you earn enough with the game). Even at the current level your the art in-game has a certain charm and it can only get better with experience. AI on the other hand is stuck at the same level due to a fundamental lack of understanding for art.

Early on a as a test I tried making sprites of the same character. On the surface they looked good, then when you start looking at them longer or flipping through them on layers. One head would be larger, one set of breasts were smaller, or lower on the body, or hips would higher and just a host of issues. After that I decided it was a lost cause and began seeking out artists rather than youtube videos.

Currently have 2 artists working on the two pieces I have in there as place holders. Otherwise everything else is (currently) Artiya and my bad digital/pencil art.

On that I have no plans on advancing my own art to the level it has to be. At a certain point I have to rely on someone else to get it done.
